Sis. Beverly Ann Johnson was born on September 26, 1966. She was the daughter of the late Bro. Charlie and Sis. Lizzie Bell Kilgo. Beverly was a lovely person with a beautiful smile. She was the third eldest daughter of the Kilgo family and lived an accomplished life. She was educated in Dayton and was active in school, playing volleyball, coaching and basketball. She was also an Aerobics Instructor later in her life as well as a Tutor and Nanny. For several years, her love for children led her to own and operate a daycare center. Gardening, cooking and baking were things she loved to do also, and she once started a bakery she named "Sweeter Things To Come", as well as another business named "Johnson & Brooks Skills, Inc.". She was also employed as a Physician's Assistant, Pharmacist, and also as an Attorney's Assistant.
Beverly was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and was a member of The Church in the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostles' Doctrine, Inc. Although she and her family resided in Colorado and they often traveled here at the headquarters church in Hartsville for services.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her husband, James Johnson, Jr. of the home; two children; Devin (Taylour) Johnson, and Brittany (Richard) Brooks, both of Arvada, CO. She has two grandchildren, Rian Brooks and Richard Brooks, Jr. She also leaves brothers: Ray A., James A., Joseph P. and Howard C. Kilgo, all of Dayton, OH and three sisters: Mary M. Kilgo of Greensboro, NC; Isabelle Lewis of Charlotte, NC; and LaShondala (Lester) Smith of Dayton, OH. She also leaves a father and mother in-law: James and Frances Johnson of Utica, MI, and two sisters-in-law; Jacqueline Johnson and Jeanette (Roy) Shelton. Including uncles; Arthur (Phyllis) Kilgo of Lancaster, SC; Dave Wright and Samuel Wright of Dayton, Ohio; and aunts: Ruby S. Kilgo of Maryland, Jessie Lee (James) Coffey of Waxhaw, SC; Laura Wright, Naomi Gordon; Sara (Thomas) Duren of Dayton, OH, and Linda Wright of Rock Hill, SC. including a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends, including a large church family.
