Clarence Ings, Sr.May 19, 1925 ~ April 5, 2017 (age 91)
Clarence W. Ings, Sr. was born on May 19, 1925 in Darlington County. He was the loving son of the late Berkley and Bessie McPhail Ings. He received his education in the public schools in the area. He was a hard and dedicated worker for many years was employed with Hartsville Oil Mill, Sonoco and Perfection Gear over the years. Brother Ings was a longtime member of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Trustee Board and New Hopewell Pall Bearers Club.
Those left to cherish his loving memories are his loving wife, of 68 years, Annie Lee Evans Ings; Two sons, Clarence (Chanelle) Ings, Jr. and Roger (Willie Mae) Ings and One son-in-law, Kenneth Stoute; Ten grandchildren, Kenya Basset, Kwame Stoute, Kimya Bradshaw, LaVetry Ings, Corey Ings, Anthony Ings, Channon Ings, Casey Ings, Chanda Ings and Keish Stoute; One nieces, reared in the home, Juanita Lewis; Twp sisters-in-law, Fannie Bonaparte and Lois Forte; One brother-in-law, Robert Evans; Fifteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
