Funeral service for Mrs. Lanisha Evans will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday January 2,2010 at Emmanuel Community Church in Lamar, SC. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Young and Young Funeral Home of Hartsville, SC.
Ms. Lanisha M. Evans was the loving daughter of Thomas Ray and Dianette Lighty Evans. She was born January 31, 1974 in Darlington County. She was educated in the public schools of the area graduating from Lamar High School with the Class of 1992. After high school, she attended Florence Darlington Technical School for one year.
Lanisha was a believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Because she loved the Lord, she joined Emmanuel Community Church. There she enjoyed the preaching, singing and the fellowship. She served on the Usher Board and the Chorus. She realized that service was one key to the kingdom of God.
She was employed with Pathology Service Associates. There she worked as a Refund Associate. She was considered a diligent and valuable employee for one and a half years.
Lanisha loved people and treated everyone with respect. She had friends because she was friendly. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Those surviving to cherish her memories are: her parents, Thomas and Dianette Evans; two children, DeQuincy Timmons and Cherish Alford; siblings, Shirley Benjamin, Tammy Mack, Thomas (Toya) Evans, Terry Mack and Tony Lighty; other close relatives and friends.
