On Sunday,January 3,2010 the soul of our beloved Abram Wallace, Sr. winged it's flight from this world of turmoil, sin and pain to enter into that peaceful place called eternity. He made the transition from McLeod Regional Medical Center. Today, we, family and friends, pause to pay tribute to that flight. We also celebrate the life and legacy of our loving "Abe".

"Abe" was the loving son of the late Amy Wallace and James Mack Hair. He was born in Darlington County on October 13,1951. He graduated from Rosenwald High School with the Class of 1970.

After high school,"Abe" was drafted in the US Army. He served our country with honor and distinction. He was able to travel all over the world and he learned so much from his travels. He was honorably discharged.

"Abe" was a hard worker. He was employed at Galey and Lord. There he met his soul mate, Cinda L.Ketter. He and Cinda were united in holy matrimony on December 23,1978. This union was blessed spiritually, emotionally and financially. They recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary.

Because "Abe" realized that education was the key to a better life, he enrolled in some college courses at Florence- Darlington Technical College. He Became certified as a truck part specialist. He was employed at Stone Truck Center for thirty plus years where he was known as "The Man In Charge". He worked hard to provide for his family. He was family oriented and wanted his family to enjoy the finer things of life.

Abram was kind, caring and loving. He had friends because he truly knew how to treat others. He was always willing to share. If he thought a person was in need, he shared. Because "Abe" was a social being, many were attracted to him.

He was a believer in the teachings of Jesus and was a member of Mt. Rona Baptist Church. Because he was civic minded, he was affiliated with the American Legion Post  #210 and the Elks of Darlington.
