Funeral service for Bro. Rembert Addison,Jr. will be 3:00p.m. Saturday January 16,2010 at The Church in the Lord Jesus Christ of The Apostolic Faith,INC. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Young & Young Funeral Home of Hartsville.
Mr. Rembert Addison,Jr. known to some as "Hippy" or "Raymond" was born on December 4,1953 in Lee County,SC. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. Rembert Addison,Sr. and Sis. Neola Jennings Addison. He departed this life on Monday, January 11,2010 in Easton, PA.
Know to his family as "Junior" he was a very friendly person who never met a stranger. He was educated in the public schools of Lee County, a 1972 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps for nearly three years, He worked at various construction jobs in Columbia, SC and the surrounding area.
He wed former Ms. Joyce Cheese and later moved to Easton, PA. There he worked with cafeteria staff at Lafayette College until health failed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his wife, Joyce C. Addison of Easton,PA; three stepdaughters, Renea, Carol and Carla Cheese of Eastern,PA.; three stepsons, Deon, Artis and Robert of Easton,PA; two brothers, Buster (Carletha) Addison of Sumter,SC and Dennis (Willene) Addison of Camden,SC; four sisters Martha (Jimmie) Wilson and Mary Smalls both of Sumter,SC, Bessie (Danny) Wright of Heath Springs and Neola Addison of Hartsville,SC; six aunts, Bessie (Frank) Cooper of Sumter,SC, Mae Francis Addison of Bishopville,SC, Mae Bell Williams of Sumter, SC, Suzanna Addison of Sumter,SC, Daisy, Daisy Bell Samuel and Lillie Mae Duboe both of Mayesville, SC; nine nieces and nine nephews, many other relatives and friends.
His friendly and loving personality made an impression on those who met and knew him. His loving memories will live on in thier hearts.
