Funeral service for Mrs. Anner Laura Brailey Evans will be Thursday 3:00 p.m.February 18,2010 at Kay Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery by Young & Young Funeral Home of Hartsville.

Our beloved Anner Laura Brailey Evans waited patiently on the Lord and He heard her cry. She fought a good fight and finished and her course. Our loved one went to be with the Lord from her residence on Saturday,february 13,2010. She had prepared for that day and all was well!Ins't that good news?

Anner Laura,affectionately know as "Sister" was born February 28,1938 in Darlington County. She was the loving and devoted daughter of the late William Taft Brailey (Bud) and Sara Mae Smith Brailey. She livedher entire life in Darlington County. She was educated in the public schools of the rea where she made lasting friends.

At an early age she was converted and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was a member of Kay Branch Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful and loyal worker. She served on the Missionary Society, Home Missions, Willing Workers, Pastor Aide, Adult Sunday School Class and Sister in Christ.

On may 28,1955,she was united in holy matrimony with Robert Evans,better known as "RB". This marriage was blessed spiritually,financially and emotionally. This union was also blessed with four loving and devoted children children.

Anner Laura,a Christian woman loved and served God in every way that she could. She desired to please God. It was important to her to be saved. She preached repentance to all that she met.

She was a loving and concerned wife. She adored her "RB". She was the best mom and grandmother possible whenever and whatever was needed if earthly possible, she came to their aid. She was a loving and caring sister, aunt, in-law, friend and neighbor. She was generous and nothing was too good to give if anyone needed the item.

Anner Laura was a home body. She made her home attractive and inviting. Many people went to her home and received a good hot meal. She was an excellent cook and always prepared enough food to share. She baked the best chocolate cakes, canned vegetables and made jelly. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading novels. She had bags of novels that she shared.

She loved people and enjoyed sharing her opinions. She didn't meet strangers and would talk to all who would listen. She was honest, straight forward and concerned about the down troddened.

Those left to cherish her memories are: her mother, Sara Mae Smith Brailey of Hartsville,SC; a loving and caring husband of fifty-four years, Robert Evans of the home; two daughters, Robin Evans of Columbia,SC and Sarah (Jimmy) McDaniel of Hartsville,SC; two sons, Norris (Loretta) Evans and Jerome (Annette) Evans both of Hartsville,SC; five granchildrten, Amelia Williams of Charlotte,NC, Jessica Evans of Charleston,SC, Lorissa Evans, Cameron Evans and Jaylen Evans all of Hartsville,SC; five sisters, Kathelean Forte, Carrie Wingate, Viola (William) Jett, Lucinda Fountian all of Hartsville,SC and Emma Jane (Jimmy) McDaniel of Miami, FLA; two brothers, Willie (Tressie Mae) Brailey of Greensboro,NC and Frankie Lee (Chris) Brailey of Miami, FLA; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-law, two godsons, Samuel Davis and Melvin Jackson both of Hartsville,SC, two special friends, Ola Dixon and Ruth Fair both of Hartsville,SC; nieces, nephews and other close relatives, friends and neighbors.

Anner Laura was preceded in death by: her loving father, William Taft Brailey (Bud) and two brothers, Nathaniel Brailey and Daniel Brailey.
