Funeral service for Mr. Derrick Frazier will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday March 2,2010 at Centerville A.M.E. Church.
Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Young & Young Funeral Home of Hartsville.
Mr. Derrick Maurice Frazier, affectionately know as "Blackmon" or "Big Country" was born February 3, 1982 in Darlington county. He was the loving son of Bernard and Linda Blackmon Frazier. He was educated in the public schools of the county. He attended Hartsville High School,Cornerstone Christian School and Florence Darlington Technical College. He was enrolled in the Welding program.
Derrick grew up in a loving Christian home where love was the most important element in all relationships. He grew up in Centerville AME Church where he was taught to love everyone. As a young adult he attended Nazareth Apostolic under the leadership of Bishop Davis.
He loved people and was fun to be round.He had jokes for everyone. He was always smiling, laughing and lifting spirits. He never met strangers, He could and would communicate with all. He touched the live of all that he met He enjoyed riding his red moped. He also enjoyed the outdoors -fishing , hunting and butchering animals
Food was very important to him because he loved to eat.He was really satisfied when there was a social. He was really satisfied when there was a social when there was a social gathering with of good food. Ha always asked "What did you what cook ?'
Derrick was a caring, loving, gentle man. He loved his family and got much pleasure from around his girls. His daughters brought much happiness to his life. He was a loving son, brother, father, cousin and friend. He had friends because he was friendly. He was the life of the party.
Those surviving to mourn his loss are : his parents, Bernard and Linda Blackmon Frazier of Hartsville, SC; a special friends, Sintoya Addison of Hartsville,SC; three daughters, San" Derrick Frazier, Ananda Addison and Mikeia Jefferson all of Hartsville,SC two sister, LaToya Frazier and Renata Frazier both of Hartsville,SC; paternal Grandmother, Mrs.Edith Peters of Chicago, Illinois: one niece, Raniyah Parran of Hartsville,SC; one nephew, Nazir Parran Hartsville,SC; god-mother, Veronica Dubose Hartsville,SC ;god-brother, Cal (Lil Cal) Frazier; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives,close friends, neighbors, and homeboys.
Derrick was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, mrs.Louvenia Blackmon of Charlotte, NC
