Funeral service for Mrs. Louise Graham King will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 4, 2010 at Angelus Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Jefferson
Burial will be in the church cemetery by Young & Young Funeral Home of Hartsville.
The family will receive friends at Harold L. & Dorothy J. Young Memorial Chapel Wednesday March 3,2010 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m.
Mrs. Louise Graham King was born October 16, 1931 in Chesterfield County. She was the loving of the late Rev. Randall Graham and Candice Newman Graham. Louise Graham King went to be with the Lord from Union Hospital in Monroe, NC on Sunday, February 28,2010. She had prepared for that day and all was well. Isn't that good news?
Louise was educated in the public schools of the county. She accepted Jesus as her personal savior and Angelus AME Zion Church. At her beloved church, she served faithfully on the Missionary Society, Deaconess Ministry and the choir. She served God by serving mankind.
Louise was united in holy matrimony to the late Wilma King, Sr. This union of fifty-two years was blessed with children. She was an excellent cook and homemaker. She loved the outdoors where she enjoyed gardening and horseback riding.
Fond memories of Mrs. Louise Graham King will forever be cherished by: her loving and devoted children, five daughters, Mary G. Sowell, Rachel K. Alston, Gloria J. Nelson ( Claudale Wright) all of Jefferson,SC, Pastor Maria Moore of Ruby,SC and Ramona Bouknight of Columbia,SC; five sons, Randall King, Bishop David L. ( First Lady Corietha) King, Wilma (Melissa) King,Jr., Moses C. ( Evangelist Cynthia) King all of Jefferson,SC, Pastor Glen ( (Evangelist Mary) King of Fayetteville, NC; forty-one grandchildren; thirteen great-granchildren; two children she reared as her own, Chase Drakeford and Kojak King; two sisters, Hessie Mae Mungo of Jefferson,SC and Carrie Bell Lockhart of Charlotte,NC; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
Louise was preceded in death by: her parents, Rev. Randall Graham and Candice Newman Graham; her husband, Wilma King, Sr. ( on June 15,2009); two children, Alexander and Glenda; three sisters, Sarah Staton, Charlotte Mae Leach and Flora Shannon; four brothers, Ozzie Blakeney, Roy Blakeney, Curtis Blakeney and Lee Buddy Blakeney.
