Funeral service for Mr. Dock Dolford will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 6,2010 at Centerville A.M.E. Church.
Burial will be the church cemetery directed by Young & Young Funeral Home of Hartsville.
Mr. Dock Dolford was born in Darlington County on July 7,1945. His proud parents were Rachel Bristor Dolford and the late Jessie Dolford. He was educated in the public schools of the county and was a graduate of Butler High School.
Dock was a hard worker. He worked in maintenance at Gayley Lord for 10 years before retirement.
He was united in holy matrimony to Mildred Toney Dolford. This union was blessed with sons.
He was a member of Centerville AME Church and attended until his health failed. He was a member of the Men's Group. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing baseball and raking leaves.
Those surviving to cherish his memories are: his mother, Rachel Dolford; his wife, Mildred Dolford; two sons, Kenneth ( Pamala) Dolford and Dwain Dolford; siblings Elease (Nick) Jackson, Rosa Mae Tate, Martha Mae Robinson, Elouise Dolford, Lela McDonald, Henry Dolford, Egypt Dolford; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
