Mrs. Corine McCullough was born on September 3, 1927 in Lee County. She was the daughter of the late Collin Bacote and Ellen Blakney.She received her education in the area and was employed with the Darlington County School District for many years until retirement and was a member of Mt. Beulah United Methodist Church, Missionary Society, and church choir. Mrs Corine was a member of the Easter Star of the Mt. Beulah Chapter 238 where she also was served as the Chaplin.
Surviving to cherish her loving memories are four children, Evelyn McCullough, Leroy (Geesje) McCullough, Jr., Levern (Estela) McCullough and Marilyn B. Davis; one brother, Otis Lee Bacote; Stepsisters and stepbrothers, Celeste Pool, Gwendolyn Johnson, Stephanie Sterling, Wilbur Onalty and Edger Sterling; Special nieces, Ann B Addison and Henrietta McCullough; Seven grandchildren, Ludmila Joyce, Leon Naomi, Jane, Leroy III and Joven; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other close relatives and friends.
