Doreatha Benjamin was born on May 9, 1957 in Darlington County. She was the beloved daughter of the Naomi Benjamin sanders and the late Peter Bailey. She received her education in the public schools in the area and graduate from Rosenwald High School with the Class of 1976. Upon graduation she was employed with various manufacturing companies until retirement. Doreatha was loved dearly by her family and those who lives she touched.
Fellowshipping with family and friends at restaurants was indeed always a treat. Doreatha was a lifetime member of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed worshipping and fellowshipping with her church family. She also serve faithfully on the following church auxiliaries: Senior Choir, Missionary Ministry and Homebound Ministry.
Surviving to cherish her loving and endless memories other than her mother, Naomi B. (Theodore) Sanders of Darlington, SC are a daughter, Tarsh (Henry) Cotton of Hartsville, SC; Three grandchildren, Tre’chelle D. Guterriez of Florence, SC, He’Sean M. Cotton and Christian Cotton both of Hartsville, SC; Three sisters, Letesa Sanders of Darlington, SC, Gloria (Carl) Rodgers of Ellenwood, GA and Diane (Vince Ekolah) Bailey of Tavares, FL; One uncle, Luke Bailey of North Carolina; a host of niece, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Bailey; Three brothers, David Benjamin, Peter Bailey, Jr. and Thomas Bailey; One son, Tremaine Gutierrez.
