Gerline was born on June 4, 1956 in Darlington County, a daughter of the late Willie Henry and Sallie Mae Smith Adams. She received her education in the public schools in the area and graduated. Later she continued her studies and obtained her Bachelor Degree in Biblical Theology. Upon graduation, “Minister Fearrington” continued her roles with various auxiliaries with her longtime church family at Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church, adding the title of clergy with great joy. Gerline was also a faithful member of the Order of Eastern Star Myrtle Chapter #56 of Hartsville.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her husband, Calvin A. Fearrington; Three children, Angelo Ricardo Timmons, Jr., Deyanelle Jevonica Timmons and Monisha Jermae Timmons; Three stepchildren, Calvin Thompson, Champali Thompson and Samantha Fearrington; Eleven siblings, Willie Henry Adams, Jr, Roosevelt Adams, Jannie Lee Williams, Sarah J. Adams, James Adams, Sallie L. Swinney, Johnny Adams, Jerome Adams, Chriscille McPhail, Margaret A. Gattison and Lucretia Lunn; Five grandchildren, Shatorika Bacote, Jaylen Alford, Angelo Ricardo Timmons, III., Aniya Rose Timmons and Kingston Shelton Timmons; One God-child, De’Aris Jackson; A host of nieces, nephews, sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s, cousins and other close family and friends.
