Helen H. Brown was born on May 13, 1937 in Cheraw, South Carolina. She was the loving daughter of the late Robert and Juanita Robinson Hudley, II. She received her education in the public schools in the area. She furthered her education in a local college in the area and later oped up Helen's Two Spot and operated restaurant at Nucor Steel in Darlington, SC until retirement. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and also was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving to cherish her memories are her loving daughter, Shirley H. Gilliard; Two siblings, Betty J. Deland and Revered James (Lucille) Hudley; One grandchild, James Hudley; Two great grandchildren, James Hudley and Jamal Hudley; Nieces and nephews, Laura James Hudley, Rosa Mae Fowler, Byron Hudley, Sabrina Berry, Baryon Robinson, Allison Robinson, Helen Robinson, Juanita Deland, James Deland and Sandy Deland and her adopted family from South Park Apartments including Keith and Tameka and entire community; a host of other close relatives and friends.
