James Coleman Woodham was born on April 6, 1932 in Darlington County. He was the beloved son of the late Wesley and Rosa Arthur Woodham. He received his education in the public schools in the area. James migrated up north to New Jersey where he worked with Hoffman LaRoach for 15 years until retirement. Upon retirement, he and his family relocated back to his hometown.
James was a member of St. John United Methodist Church where he was a devoted member. In his leisure, he always enjoyed spending time with family, doing odd jobs for those in the area and helping anyone in any way he could. He never greeted anyone without a smile and offered endless of words of wisdom.
He leaves to cherish the love of his life, Janie Mae Byrd Woodham of Hartsville, SC; One devoted son, James Glenn Woodham of Hartsville, SC; a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Rosa Arthur Woodham; a daughter, Dorrie Woodham and his siblings Virginia Woodham, Elma Woodham, Francis Woodhm, Roberta Francis, Azalaee Woodham, Welsey Woodham and Strawford Woodham.
