She was born on January 25, 1923 in Chesterfield County. Mrs. Lois Brockington was known for her cooking skills. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, neighbor and a friend. Mrs. Brockington was member of Mt. Calvery Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of Choir #2, The Willing Works Club, and the Pastor’s Aide Committee. Mrs. Brockington was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Mt. Rona Lodge #233, and a member of the NAACP. She worked for the Baltimore City Health Department for twenty-four years and retired.
Surviving to cherish her loving memory six children, Robert (Cora) Brockington, Hazel W. (Evelyn) Brockington, Charles E. (Patricia) Brockington, Deloris L. Brockington, Horace L. (Sonja) Brockington and Larry B. Brockington; One sister-in-law, Alberta Roderick; 20 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and very dear friends.
Mrs. Brockington was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leroy Brockington, Sr., Two sons, Leroy Brockington, Jr. and Harold Brockington, Grandsons, Melvin Brockington, Larry Brockington, Jr. and Charles Brockington, Jr.
