Mable was born on August 17, 1931 in Darlington County. She was the loving daughter of the late Sylvester and Rosa Cabbagestalk Edwards. She was married to the late Willie J. McFadden, Sr. She received her education in the public schools in the area and was a dedicated employee for 50 years in the hospital and schools in the area as a skilled cook. Mable was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Tent. She worshipped and was a member of Nathan Temple F.B.H. Church.
Surviving to cherish her loving memories are four children, Willie (Odessa) McFadden of Hartsville, SC, Genova McFadden of North Charleston, SC, Stanley Leon (Mary) McFadden of Chesterfield, SC and Donald A.(Jeanine) McFadden of Lydia, SC; Three siblings, Ruth D. Edwards, Pauline Edwards and Sylvester Edwards all of Maryland; Special cousins, Dr. I.D. Hodge of Hartsville, SC and Hattie Harding of Maryland; two special nieces (and daughters of the heart), Linda Harris and Ann Tisdale of Maryland, three close friends, Marguerite McFarland of Hartsville, SC, Annette Waiters of Lydia, SC and Phyllis Blackman of Darlington, SC; Nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
