Margaret J. George was born on May 16, 1940 in Darlington County. She was the loving daughter of the late Clyde Bethea and Rosie Lee Johnson Boyd. She received her education in the public schools in the Baltimore, Maryland area. After graduating, she was employed with the Social Security Administration for many years until relocating back down south and working at Assurant until retirement. Sis. Margaret was a lifetime member of Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a member of the Pastor Support, Usher Board, Missionary Society, Timmons Angelics and the Senior Choir.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Carl Hughes of Evansville, IN, Neal Desmond George, Ondrea George, Michael George, Antone George all of Baltimore, MD, Alvin George of Nashville, TN, Denise (Allen) Brown and Felecia (Herbert) Harris both of Baltimore, MD; Adopted family, Lillian S Cotton, Margaret Thompson, Betty (Alvin) Mack, Janice (Robbie) Washington, Elzenia Johnson, Major Byrd, and Clarence (Helen) Byrd; One special cousin, Eva Fullwood; Four grandchildren, Johnathan Hughes, Malaikah Hughes, Maya Hughes all of Baltimore, MD and Ebony Hughes of Darlington, SC; A host of other close relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert George
