Obituary

Richard Edward Jett was born on November 1, 1946 in Darlington County. He received his education in the public schools in the area and served in the U. S Army and served his county as a Heavy Wheel Mechanic.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Arelene Williamson Jett; Five children, Richard Edward Jett, Jr, Loriann (Kenwyn) King , Maloria (James) Hudson, Minnie Jett-Hare and Alicia Lamore Jett; Eight siblings, Lois (Jasper) Pendergrass, Sylvia Ann Newton, Judy (James) Hudson, Sylvester Jett, Jimmy Jett, Leon ( Rose) Jett, Harvey Lee (Lizzie) Jett and Robert Lee Jett; One aunt, Vera Brook Ramirez; One uncle, Ernest Jett; Eleven grandchildren, Eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Julia Sellers Jett; two grandchildren, Ramon Xerod Jett and Maximun Jett Williams; One brother, Jesse James Jett
